Best kept secret in Switzerland

We have spent this winter in Switzerland and have fallen in love with Les Masses/Sion in the Vallis are of the country.

You can get the best of both worlds just 1.45m drive from Geneva. Sion with its medieval city and cosmopolitan feel with great shops restaurants. Les Masses/Les Collons and Thyon 2000 are less well known ski resorts on the edge of the 4 valleys system which you can ski to Verbier in less then 2 hours with over 400km of piste and more off piste then you can do in one season.

Les Masses has an authentic feel of traditional Switzerland with a lovely traditional restaurant and also has a lift into the Thyon 2000 resort above. If you are looking to escape the crowds or ski Verbier without the Verbier budget this is the place for you. It also offers many outdoor activities for summer holidays too.

I used to go to boarding school in Switzerland and we went skiing a number of times nearby where you were staying at. The skiing is really great there.
