Every skiing tragedy is just that, a tragedy. Unfortunately, some of these incidents can be avoided (obviously not an avalanche.) It is important to take precautions but still live life.

It goes to show how dangerous skiing can get when you take it to higher grounds. The death of those two tourists who were supposed to be there to have fun should teach skiers as well as guides, instructors and organizers about the possible dangers. It is sad that they had to push through with the activity even if an avalanche was foreseen two days before.

It is always unfortunate when a day out on the slopes turns into a tragic event, but sadly this is not always an avoidabl situation

Wow I called that really lucky, I don't want to really ever be caught up in that while in the middle of nowwhere. What if you something happens and you get smothered under?

Yepper, you can't really do anything about tragedies. They happen unexpectedly.

I think that if a person familiarizes himself with all the dangers in advance and analyzes the dangers, the dangers can be reasonably avoided.

Now that I can agree with. You have to know what to expect to avoid it. But that comes with knowing the mountains and knowing the area in which you are skiing in.
