Default Peak Resorts Announces New Management at Attitash

BARTLETT, NH (June 4, 2007) - Under the new ownership of Peak Resorts, Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire announced the appointment of new members to the management team. Kent Graham has come on board as the Vice President and General Manager, Robin Graham as Vice President of Administration and Kevin Kasten as Director of Mountain Operations. Kent and Robin Graham are part owners of Peak Resorts and have relocated from Peak Resorts owned, Boston Mills and Brandywine resorts in Ohio where they were in charge of operation of both sites.

The Grahams have worked within Peak Resorts for 27 years in all facets of the industry. The Grahams have two daughters, Lauren, a freshman at The Ohio State University, and Ashley, the Marketing Director at Mad River Mountain Ski Resort near Columbus, Ohio. "Attitash is our second largest asset in the company (Peaks owns 11 resorts). Our intent is to make it a leader in the industry for snow conditions, guest service and overall mountain experience," said Kent Graham. "We will open for our summer season on June 16.

There will also be a lot of activity on the mountain throughout the summer as we focus on upgrading our snowmaking system with the installation of a combination of 100 state-of-the-art fan and low energy guns, a $2.5 million dollar project." Kevin Kasten started in the ski industry with Peak Resorts in 1982 at Hidden Valley Ski Resort, Missouri and has worked in all aspects of mountain operations including lift operations, snowmaking and grooming.

Kasten's expertise lies in building snowmaking systems and he has spent time in Australia as well several Peak Resorts advising on implementing systems and training industry professionals in managing snowmaking systems. Kasten will relocate from Missouri with his wife, Jennifer and daughters, Kaitlynn and Lillian. His son Logan will remain in Missouri to attend college. "Primarily I am focused on working with the crew to implement the upgrades to the existing snowmaking system, and that is just the first phase of this project," said Kasten. "We are currently concentrating on the trail Illusion at Bear Peak as well as several of the primary trails on the Attitash side in order to open both peaks from top to bottom as early as possible for the 07/08 season."

It is good to know that there are people like the Grahams who have such a love for the sport that they have spent 27 years in the industry. I wish them well.
