Default Three Skiers Named to Team

PARK CITY, Utah (Jan. 17) - Three athletes have been named to the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team based on results from U.S. Freestyle Selections, Program Director Polly-Jo Clark said. In addition, eight athletes have earned start spots for the FIS Freestyle World Cup competitions this month in Lake Placid, NY with the Nature Valley Freestyle Cup, and at Utah's Deer Valley Resort with the Visa Freestyle International.

Clark said those athletes being named to the U.S. Ski Team include:

MOGULS
Jimmy Discoe (DOB: 5/15/89; Ridgway, CO; Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club/Park City Freestyle)

AERIALS
GW Creighton (DOB: 3/9/88; Boise, ID; Freestyle Lives Year-round)
Allison Lee (DOB: 11/13/89; Manchester, CT; Waterville Valley Black & Blue Trail Smashers)

"The U.S. Freestyle Selections event is a great proving ground every year for young athletes from around the country," Clark said. "It's an opportunity to show how they've progressed throughout the summer with their training, and that they can put it all together under pressure when there's a lot on the line, like a national team spot. We're excited to have these three join the national squad."
