quality ski for junior USASA competitor
Been through lots of junk skis for my son who's now 11, he's currently on a pair of 2010 K2 Juvy 129 which are good skis for spinning but the rockered tip and tail mean they have a ridiculously short active edge. At Loon recently and he couldn't hold an edge on ice. I noticed that K2 dropped the double rocker on this ski for 2011 in favor of rocker only in the tip but I don't think I want to buy another set of these. The Afterbang Shorty is a solid ski but way to heavy for him as he's only 70+ lbs. Should I stick with a pure camber ski? Most Jr park skis are camber only. Here's what I'm looking at:
K2 Bad Seed: Still has camber in the tip but not the tail and it's a wood core ski. 129 tad small, 139 tad long
Armada Coda: Camber ski, tad longer at 136, wood core
CoreUPT Young Gun: know very little about this ski
