Default Speed = Weight?

I'm a huge fan of downhill and as I am a speedaholic I was wondering if I gained more weight would I be faster?I think that Lindsay Vonn is around 165lbs which is not too light for a woman. I'm 134lbs and if I could gain speed and weight+muscle I will do it,so please share your opinions!

Old thread, but interesting topic.

Weight will tend to allow you to accelerate up to speed faster, but it will also create additional drag from the added friction between the skis and the snow. In addition, when you get to flatter areas, this will affect you even more than a lighter person. In general, I believe lighter is better.
