Romelu Lukaku is aiming to show Jose Mourinho he was wrong to dump him.
Lukaku faces Mourinho and Chelsea tomorrow evening for the first time since his £28million move to Everton, and strike partner Steven Naismith says the striker feels he has a point to prove.

The Belgium international, 21, made just three appearances for Chelsea under Mourinho, and Naismith said: “It will be a funny day for him. He will probably think he has a point to prove.
“He will probably feel he never got a fair chance at Chelsea. Although he got a few appearances for them, he would have wanted more.

“I don’t really know if it will bring more out of him, but you would think it would. They signed him for big money and he probably thought he’d be playing at Chelsea for the foreseeable future. But it didn’t work out that way.
“He will definitely want to, maybe not just score, but have a good performance to show it was a mistake to let him go.”
Manager Roberto Martinez smashed Everton’s transfer record to sign Lukaku, claiming he would have paid £100m to land him, and Naismith is confident he can handle the pressure and price tag.

“I think he will handle everything,” said Naismith. “He went to Chelsea for a lot of money and there was expectation on him there – as well as when he was on loan with us and at West Brom.
Will Lukaku be a success at Everton?
“But he showed up well under all that. I’m confident enough that he will definitely be able to not let any of that bother him.”

Naismith, 27, has established himself at Everton after a difficult start, scoring in both of their opening games, and he welcomed Samuel Eto’o's arrival, even though it intensifies the competition among the strikers.
“I agree with the manager’s thinking because of the amount of games we will have,” he added.
“We only have one game a week now but, after the internationals, there is a crazy amount of matches and that’s why you need a large squad.”
