I just got a new pair of skis about 2 weeks ago (Volkl AC50) and was wondering what I should do about wax. I have heard not to wax them yet because the factory wax on them now is the best wax I can get. I have gone out on them once and they were amazing and performed better than I could have imagined. I got them new but they are last years model so the wax is already over a year old. So my question is, should I wax them or leave them how they are? If I do wax them what is the best route to take, hot wax at a ski shop or do it myself?
