You want your lower body to be a shock absorber. your knees must work in unison. pole planting helps

So how is it that you should have your knees. How do you know if your knees and legs are planted in position correctly?

I personally would advise using a teacher for at least the first few times. To me, the risks of skiing become pretty minimal with some proper training.
