Icer Air: Back to the Bay
On November 2nd and 3rd, the Esurance ICER AIR brings ski and snowboard aerobatics (plus 200 tons of snow) to an urban venue: San Francisco's AT&T Park.
Now in its third year, the Esurance ICER AIR is a two day action sports, music, and lifestyle event that will take place on November 2nd and 3rd, 2007 at AT&T Park, home to the San Francisco Giants.
"Esurance ICER AIR is a constantly evolving event," said Glen Griffin, founder and president of ICER. "Each year we try to raise the bar, to do something a bit bigger and a bit crazier than we have in the past. Our main mission will always be to bring the mountains to the city, showcasing some of the most amazing athletes in the world."
ICER AIR 2007 will feature a big air ski and snowboard competition, freestyle motocross, skate and BMX vert and street courses, wakeboarding, 60 exhibitors, 2 music stages, and a beer garden. Olympic and X Games athletes will share the spotlight with a surprise headliner band.
"Esurance ICER AIR has become the official kick-off to winter," said event host and Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley. "We are excited about the progress we have made in the industry, to showcase these amazing skiers and snowboarders."
A newly designed ski and snowboard jump will rise over 10 stories in the middle of the ball park, extending over 350 feet in length. It will take four days and more than 14,000 cubic feet of snow, weighing over 200 tons, to build.
