WINTERGREEN, Virginia -- With Mother Nature having already added four inches of snow at Wintergreen Resort as of 11 a.m. and an additional four to six inches forecast to fall throughout the day, winter sports enthusiasts are flocking to the mountain. The return of cold temperatures late last week enabled Wintergreen's fully computerized snowmaking system to create enough of the "white stuff" to allow skiers and snowboarders to enjoy much of the resort's terrain. The storm that has impacted the region will bring enough snow to enable the resort to open most of the remaining terrain including the expert terrain known as The Highlands.
