November 16, 2007 — In 2001, Seven Springs installed the first “six pack” high-speed lift in Pennsylvania. Over the past summer, Seven Springs has installed its second six-passenger high-speed lift, replacing the triple chair Gunnar and reducing transit time from 12 minutes to about three. The $3 million lift will service trails in the North Face section of the mountain, and carry up to 3,200 guests per hour up 750 vertical feet.

Seven Springs is my 'home slope'. It is a fantastic, family oriented, four season mountain getaway. They have one of the most effecient snow making systems in the world, amazing assortment of half pipes and terrain parks for all levels and a variety of dinning choices, a host of family activities including shoppig, an indoor putt putt golf course, bowling alley, game room and swimming pool. Seven Springs is unlike any other resort in the nation as it is all under one roof. The hotel, all of the bars and restaurants, the convention center, shops and game room are all part of one sprawling complex.

Seven Springs is regularily ranked as one of the best resorts in the country and its proximity to Pittsburgh, Washington D.C. and Baltimore brings a wide variety of vacationers. Obviously I can't say enough about it. I am up there every weekend in the winter as my kids participate in the Tiny Tots ski lesson program and the WPRC race team.
