Just a quick announcement that I thought you'd find helpful:

I am pleased to announce that we launched my new web site yesterday at Live Ski Conditions: Mountain crowdsourcing to spread the word about ski and traffic conditions. It's a free site which allows users of our service to inform others of existing snow or traffic conditions at resorts in the United States via Blackberry or standard email. Currently, it is limited to Utah resorts but if the demand is there we'd like to expand the service to other U.S./Canada resorts.

Let me know what you all think and if you have any other features you'd like to see us offer in the future.

It appears there are only 13 resorts to select from. Is that accurate?

Yes, at this time we are only offering Utah ski resorts in our initial launch. Do you have recommendations for some others we should add? I can look into getting those implemented rapidly as well.

Not in particular. I live in Chicago..so the mountains (hills) around here (Wisc & Mich) would probably not be a high priority. Although, I just came back from Colorado and I know it could be useful for many resorts in and around summit county.

True - Thanks for the suggestion. After visiting Vail/Beaver Creek several years ago I can sympathize with their traffic and congestion problems. I am going to look into starting the implementation of those Colorado resorts as I think it might prove to be quite useful for those folks.

Yea those mountain roads can be a nightmare if it's snowing or icy. I've seen many a fender-bender on our way up to Copper.
