Hi all
Hi - I just found this forum. I'm 56 years old, been skiing since I was about 16, and I ski mostly in the east - way too much in Pennsylvania, but what can you do? My wife doesn't ski so it gets tricky to set up vacations around skiing.
My favorite place in PA is Elk Mountain, far and away the best in the state. Over the years, I've skied almost every major area in Vermont, a lot in upstate New York, almost nothing in Colorado, and not at all in Utah, California, Navada and down that way. However, I just got back from a week in Oregon, skiing Mount Hood (Timberline and Meadows). GREAT locations - and since I've been home just a couple of days ago, they got another foot of snow.
I ski a ten year old pair of 195 cm K2 Kreitlers with Salomon 727 Equipe bindings and I love them - I like to go fast down steeps and these are very stable at high speeds.
