That was the last time I skied. It was at Camelback in Pennsylvania. The reason for my post is that my friends from my old high school ski club contacted me and asked me to join them in Jackson Hole in January, 2010. I'm really looking forward to this since I graduated high school in 1987 and last skied with my buddies in the early Nineties. I still have my skis from high school, but have been told that they are too dated and I'll be laughed off the slope. They are Hart Sportlite VIIs with Salomon 637 bindings. When I bought them decades ago, I applied ski saver to them, so they still look showroom fresh. They are 180 cm. So what do you think, can I go retro, or should I update? I was planning on renting when I was out there, but my friends said I could pick decent skis for about the same money. One recommends Head 1100. For the record, my name is Steve and I grew up in New Jersey and skied in the Poconos. I also went to Vermont several times. This will be my first ski experience in the West. I currently live in Maryland and can use Liberty and Wisp as my training ground. Lastly, I'm looking forward to this trip. I'll be able to ski with my high school friends 20+ years later. I guess there are some things that time cannot change.
