Default Heliskiing for Intermediate Skiers

I have heard that heliskiing is no longer elitist and that it is now possible for strong intermediate skiers to participate with confidence. I would like to heliski in Switzerland if possible. Can anyone help, please?

Thanks, John White

how is heliskiing not for more advanced skiiers? do they hover lower? I think either way you need to have an excellent command of the poles AND the mountain.

I know that the ski schools in Villars and Crans Montana can organize heliskiing and you don't have to be a pro. I guess it would help if you have some off piste experience and if you know how to ski in deep powder snow.

John,

Yes strong intermediates can easily handle heli skiing - particularly at the larger operations in canada Like Mike wiegle. You will find the much of the skiing is easier than skiing on the Piste.

I also have a Cat skiing operation called Big Red Cats - we have speacial intermediate trips in the Powder - This is also a great option.

Call me if you would like further information 1 250 362 2271

You don't have to be a pro but you do have to at least know what you are doing. You aren't going to be able to go out on the slopes naked minded.
