Morgenstern Wins No. 9 in JPN
SAPPORO, Japan (Feb. 3) - World Cup leader Thomas Morganstern, who hadn't won a ski jumping meet in January, won the second straight in February Sunday. He led both rounds of jumping at the Okurayama venue, putting down the longest jumps of the day - 135 and 139 meters - for 288.7 points for his ninth win of the season. Janne Happonen of Finland finished second for the second time in less than 24 hours. No Americans competed.
