HIGHMOUNT, New York -- Make sure to be here the week of January 26 through February 3 as Belleayre holds its annual Winter Festival Week. The festivities start with the Race for Cancer Cure on Saturday, January 26. Come out and race on our NASTAR course against your friends for a worthy cause. Belleayre Mountain and the Margaretville Telephone Company's Relay for Life Team are joining forces to bring a fun event benefiting the American Cancer Society. All the proceeds go to the MTC Relay for Life Team. All levels and abilities are welcome, skiers and snowboarders alike. Pre-registration is required and limited to the first 200 applicants. The 22nd Annual Snowball honors Eliot Spitzer with the Spirit of the Catskills Award on Saturday, January 26 as the Coalition for Belleayre cordially invites you to their annual dinner/dance fundraiser at Overlook Lodge benefiting the Belleayre Music Festival. The black tie invited party starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $160 per person and include a full night of entertainment beginning with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and dancing. And of course, Belleayre is again offering $10 Midweek Lift Tickets from Monday, January 28 through Friday, February 1 for Winter Festival Week. That's five days of skiing for the price of one, an unbelievable deal. And value skiing and riding isn't all Winter Festival Week is about. It's about exploring the Belleayre Region during our favorite season.

Monday, January 28 Belleayre Mountain hosts Taste of the Town - An Evening in Paris. After a day of skiing and riding, people can stay and sample local fare with a French theme at the Discovery Lodge starting at 6:30 pm. For entertainment, jazz recording artist Deanna Kirk will headline this season's Taste of the Town with guitarist Peter Einhorn. Tickets are $30 per person and are available through the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association at 845-254-5600 x 361. The first 120 adults receive a complimentary glass of wine in a souvenir wine glass.

And that's only the beginning as local towns hold events each night all week long. Tuesday night is Margaretville Night, Wednesday is Fleischmanns Night, Thursday is Pine Hill night, and Friday is Phoenicia Night. Get out and explore the hidden treasures of the Belleayre Region and find out what makes this area special.

Winter Festival Week culminates on Saturday, February 2 with the Kids Winter Carnival at Discovery Lodge featuring games, clowns, balloons and prizes, followed that evening with our annual Torchlight Parade down Yahoo ending at Overlook Lodge.
