VILLACH, Austria (Dec. 13) - National hero Thomas Morgenstern stayed unbeaten Thursday night, winning his fourth World Cup ski jumping meet of the young season. In a meet moved from snowless Kranj, Slovenia, the Austrian had the longest jump in each round on the 98-meter hill and rolled to his second win in a row by more than 10 points. No Americans competed.

VILLACH, Austria (Dec. 14) - World Cup leader Thomas Morgenstern set a record Friday night, winning his fifth consecutive World Cup ski jumping meet of the 2008 season. It's the first time an athlete has won five in a row to open a season. He edged Austrian teammate Gregor Schlierenzauer for the victory on Villach's 98-meter hill. No Americans competed.
