I'm planning my first ski trip for February/March time. I'd like to go a resort preferably in Austria or France, but have a few questions:

Where is a good resort for a first-timer? Also looking for somewhere not too expensive.

Is it best to go self-catering or on a ski+board deal?

Which sites are good? I saw this site has some good deals Cheap holidays - Compare irresistible travel deals - travelizer.co.uk but don't know it, has anyone used it before?
