Out of curiousity, when does ski season usually start in California? Would it be October?

Are you talking about Big Bear, or more towards Lake Tahoe? I would say October/early November.

Alpine meadows Resort is where we go every year. We usually go around November December. Thats when it really begins to snow and thats when the resorts actually become resorts.

Water ski enthusiasts - want a chance to demonstrate your skills?

Water skiing enthusiasts should know about the upcoming water skiing events organized at Lake Agnes sponsored by Classic Race Boat Association. All the supplied boats will be elegantly equipped with high performance engines. The race course will be 1 ½ miles long with an oval shape. Anyone with great skiing skills can join the water skiing race and those who are not professionals can participate in other events; they can photograph the lake’s beauty on rarely seen boats or enjoy the races or other organized events.

The major attraction will be Ski-A-Rees’s presentation shows that are organized specially to entertain viewers. These water ski shows will not only entertain you but also create excitement within you with there twists and flips and barefoot skiing events.
