Default Grenoble Skiing

We were thinking of spending the winter in Grenoble so that we can ski at weekends. However someone who lived there has told us that there is now not much snow in Chamrousse due to global warming. We could go do Les Deux Alpes which is higher, but its further away. Officially 1.5 hours drive, but the same source tells us it can take 3-4 hours due to ice and traffic.

I'd really like to know if anyone else has similar or different experiances of the region. We need to make a decision and now we're not sure if skiing from Grenoble is still viable.

Thanks
Nancy

Hello, Nancy. Well, if there isn't enough snow to ski around, then I suggest you postpone that adventure to some other time.

For those not familiar with trivia, Grenoble was also the hometown of the late Andre the Giant
