Default death in skiing accidents?

We know how dangerous is skiing when done on higher grounds and on more dangerous terrain. Skiers could get killed for various reasons. In percentages, what is the number of deaths resulting from skiing accidents? Is it minimal or high? Say, out of a thousand skiers, how many die in accidents?

That would be interesting to know. I remember Sonny Bono's death was pretty publicized, but had much more to do with his celebrity than skiing.

The latest thing that resulted to the death of 2 skiers could have been prevented had proper precautionary measures been applied.

I don't think that it actually could have been prevented but hey that is just my opinion though. I mean I am into that whole destined thing.

I would assume that the danger level is proportionate to the person's ability to ski. One yields the other.

People die crossing the street, having relations, or just suddenly die. Sure, skiing slightly increases your risk, but so does living in general.

I must agree, but skiing does increase your chances of dying but at the same time it doesn't just put you out there for death to grab you either. Especially if you know what you are doing.
