Default Student fractures his skull on skiing trip

A TEENAGER fractured his skull following an accident during a half-term school skiing trip.
Adam Lindsay, aged 16, was with classmates and staff from Shire Oak School, Walsall Wood, at an Austrian ski resort when the accident happened.

Adam, from the Clayhanger area of Brownhills, Walsall, is in intensive care but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Parents Sharon and Tony and his younger brother Sam, aged 13, have flown out to be by his bedside.
The rest of the party have now returned home, except for one teacher who remained with Adam.

Headteacher Gary Crowther said in a statement: "I can confirm that a Year 11 pupil of Shire Oak School was injured whilst on a school trip in Austria.
"The injuries are not life-threatening. His parents have travelled out to join him and the school has launched an investigation."

It was nice that a teacher stayed with the young man. It's a shame that his holiday is marred by this accident though.
