skiers return to the same places to ski?
how far would you travel for great skiing? is it about closeness to home or the skiing?
what is it about skiing that does it for you?
and what do you do in the summer to fill that skiing void?
is skiing your life?
and anything else you could think of that would get me an insight into the skiers world.
thanks so much

To answer your questions (in order):
- I know I return to my favorite places almost every year. When I find a place that gives me everything I need (i.e. skiing, restaurants, bars, resorts) I feel comfortable and almost at home.
- Personally, I would travel pretty far...depending on the funds available.
- Skiing does a few things for me: allows me to get back to nature (I work in an office building all day), skiing is peaceful, speed and exhilaration of flying down a mountain side, enjoying company of close friends, sharing stories at the lodge, plus about a 100 more reason

- In the summer I play paintball, work on cars, skim board, kneeboard, water ski, anything fast.
- I wouldn't say skiing is my life, but is sure as hell makes it worthwhile.
- It's kinda like surfing or rock climbing. It's a sport that allows you to become one with nature and your surroundings and push your abilities to new limits.
I hope this helped answer some of your questions...
