Nickerson Fifth in NorAm Slalom
The U.S. men came out strong for the new year on Monday with Warner Nickerson (Gilford, NH) finishing fifth in a NorAm Cup giant slalom in Maine. First place went to Leif Kristian Haugen of Norway.
The U.S. men had a strong showing in the top 10, as well. Will Gregorak (Longmont, CO) came in seventh with Dane Spencer (Boise, ID) hot on his heels by five one-hundredths for ninth. Tommy Ford (Bend, OR) rounded out the top 10.
The men will continue their new year with another giant slalom to follow on Tuesday.
