Elan vs. Rossi
Happy new year's to all! Alrighty, I been shopping for gear, and one store tried to sell me Elan Magfires, and Dalbello boots. I never buy the first thing I see, so I said thank you, and moved on. Now yesterday I was riding at Sunshine, and I was teaching my GF, so we were on Strawberry. Some clueless weirdo waits till the chair is 3/4 the way around, goes for it, falls down trying to push me outta the way, and causes the chair to get stopped. What was on his feet? Elan Magfires and Dalbello's... When I got back into snowboarding after my injury, same thing happened. Salesman at The Source in Canmore saw me coming, sold me these $hitty Burton Moto boots, caused me nothing but pain...I'm wondering if this salesman's attempt at selling me the Elan's were an attempt to unload some gear that wasn't selling to more knowledgeable buyers? I'm (or was) a technical, aggressive skier, and back home I learned on Rossi's. I'm wondering, how do these Elan's stack up to Rossi Cx-80's, or Phantom SC 108's? I've also looked at Atomic Nomads, and the description of Armada Ants seem to fit the bill... but I don't know a thing about Armada... What do you think?
