I'm planning a leisurely car camping trip along the Sea to Sky Highway and beyond, and am looking for food ideas. Since we are camping, most meals will be in camp or picnic style - working with limited cooler space. In the past I've made good use of grocery deli's. I'm a fan of Freybe meats (esp. their smoky schinkenspeck). Bakeries are also a good choice - there's supposed to be a good one in Lillooet.

Well I was raised in Lillooet till 7 and my one room school house still stands. Don't know much about it lately as I only pass through once in a while. The Hanging Tree is no longer standing.
As for deli meats I do eat Landjaeger once in a while on the chairlift, but prefer hot food.
Shinkenspeck or prociutto would be good in spaghetti carbonara, use cappelli (angel hair) for faster boiling of water, egg, grated parmesan, meat, pepper, onion, olive oil, parsley, cream, etc. One of those butane big element burners works quite well.

I'm not really sure what this thread is supposed to be about....

If you are looking for campgrounds, then check out Alice Lake just north of Squamish, and Cal-Chek just south of Whistler. Then there is Nairn Falls, about halfway between Whistler and Pemberton.

There is also a RV campground in Whistler, but it is closed this season (08/09) due to being 'upgraded' Basically they are doing a lot of work to the surrounding area to increase the overall campground size (amongst other things)
