Kaylin Richardson (Edina, MN) stormed to a two second slalom victory, posting a time of 1:42.12 Thursday to lead teammates Hailey Duke (Boise, ID) and Stacey Cook (Mammoth, CA) onto the Coronet Peak podium.

It was the second time in three days that U.S. women swept the podium. Tuesday's opening giant slalom featured a 1-2-3-4 finish for Americans. Richardson, who was fourth in that race, returned to training this spring with the U.S. Ski Team after taking most of last season off from racing.

"Kaylin is doing very well," said Women's Head Coach Jim Tracy. "It has been great for her to get back into a race routine and she's been working very hard to prove she's back."

Duke's second is a continuation of the slalom success she posted last season where she won back-to-back Europa Cup races in Germany. For Cook, the newly crowned U.S. downhill and super G champion, the slalom finish was her third podium in three days. She was also first and second in the GS double.

Former Dartmouth all-American David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO) captured the men's victory in 1:42.31, continuing U.S. success into day three of the technical series. U.S. men swept the opening GS with Erik Schlopy (Park City, UT) leading Jimmy Cochran (Keene, NH) and Ted Ligety (also Park City) onto the podium. Warner Nickerson (Gilford, NH) was victorious in the second GS.

"Schlopy committed himself this summer to being in the best possible shape for this season and he's already seeing the payoff of that commitment," said Men's Head Coach Sasha Rearick. "These races were more of a dress rehearsal for our Team, coaches and athletes, and I'd say it went pretty well."

The second slalom, scheduled for Friday, was cancelled due to soft snow and poor weather conditions ending the women's camp a day earlier than planned. U.S. men will remain training at Coronet Peak through the middle of next week.
