Skiers seem cool to a proposal by the Quebec government that could force them and their snowboarding cousins to wear helmets.
The new law could be in place by next year after Sport and Leisure Minister Michelle Courchesne expressed support for the plan Thursday. Earlier in the day, a group representing the province's emergency room doctors said the law would prevent 60 per cent of head injuries from winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing.
