Day 3...Last Day

Oh man, am I sore....

Not much to say today. Last day here, mostly packing up..having our last meal together and heading our separate ways. Gonna be a long day of cars, airports, and planes. Did I mention I'm not a biggest fan of traveling.

Regardless…another great thanksgiving ski trip come and gone. Friends & family, good food & good drinks = great memories!

Day 2..

The second day on the mountain was great. Actually both yesterday & today were bluebird days, temps near the 40's....can't beat that with a stick!

Got up early, had some more good ol' chili (not so good for everyone else )
grab a quick shower and hit the mountain. Made a couple runs from the top and it was time for a couple bloody mary's (btw if you're ever at Copper get the bloody from Jill's...much better than Jacks).

Day 1.

Day 1:
Wake up early..grab a quick bite and make the drive from Denver up to the mountains. It's about an hour and a half to Copper, so we stop & grab a few red bulls and we're off again. Get to Copper...do a quick parking lot change, pound that last red bull...and hit the slopes!

The snow wasn't the best we've seen this time of year, mostly man made and not nearly enough mountain open. But the runs that were open were pretty well groomed. Later in the day when traffic...

Travel Day

I have another 45 min here at work..then I'm headed home to load up the skis & luggage then on to the airport. Luckily it sounds like the rain/snow mix won't hit until tomorrow, so flights should depart on time.

I can honestly say, traveling is not one of my favorite things. But, in 24 hours I'll be sittin' on the lift drinkin' a cold one...maybe doin' a little heckling from the chairlift.

Copper '09 (day before travel)

Well, it's the day before my annual Thanksgiving ski trip...and I'm pumped. Although, not as pumped as previous years.

This year’s isn't going to be anywhere near as good as previous years due to lack of snow early in the season. So far Copper only has 40" of base & roughly 23" of mid mountain snow. 8 runs open outta 134...not very good odds. My guess is it's going to be a cluster-fuck of people. Since they only have 4 blues & 4 greens open, it's going to be a nasty...
