Do you happen to know what model or year they were manufactured?
I have a pair of Technica Hot Form boots and I really like 'em...but I have no personal experience with the TNT Icon boots.
However, I have heard some of the old models (99's & 02's) had some problems with the plastic. Apparently (from what I've heard & read) there were some occasions where the plastic simply cracked/shattered beyond repair. I would imagine this issue has been fixed on the newer models.
If you have more info on the boots let me know & I'll see what I can find out.
