There has been a lot controversy over the 2010 winter Olympic logo. There were over 1,600 submissions for logo consideration...and this is the winning design selected by the group. There has been many mixed reviews, but the negative reactions outweigh the positive.



Below is the image an of "Inukshuk" (a stone figure made by the Inuit) which is the inspiration behind the design. The Inuit make inuksuit in different forms and for different purposes: to show directions to travellers, to warn of impending danger, to mark a place of respect, or to act as helpers in the hunting of caribou.
